Front Cover Art

We’re trying to discover the artist who painted this picture, it is done in enamels on a piece of copper. It came from the USA, and we bought it via ebay in 2005. The previous owner had it for approximately 10 years, she had been left it by a friend. Does anyone recognise the artist from the style? The size is 8” x 12”. There are initials in the bottom left hand corner which read KM or it could be XM.
